It is very likely that different employees will have different reactions when it comes to change management within the workplace. This is the next psychological principle of change in the workplace. By understanding that all individuals will react to change differently, and sharing this knowledge with your employees, you are letting them know that it is expected and acceptable to react to change in their own way.
No employee should be or should feel as if they are being forced to accept change. By being tactful to your employees in this aspect, you are likely to be more successful as a member of change management.
Many employees will feel as if it is a rather large loss
If you are a manager and it is part of your responsibility to share with your employees that a change is going to occur, you should understand that it is common for an employee to "lose" something with the new change coming about.
While this loss may seem insignificant to you when you consider the big picture of the company for which you work, many employees will feel as if it is a rather large loss. These employees must be able to adjust and incorporate the new events into their job. This is often referred to as "loss curve".
Coaches can help employees see the change as a positive impact to their overall growth

During the "loss curve" transitional phase in the workplace, your employees should be able to openly communicate their thoughts and emotions regarding the change that is happening. Many companies have found that by hiring a business coach and/or career coach, the changes that are occurring pose less of a complication to the employees that are experiencing it.
These coaching professionals provide employees with the ability to openly discuss their feelings about situations in the workplace without the factor of intimidation. Furthermore, coaches can help employees see the change as a positive impact to their overall growth.
As a member of change management, it is important to understand that it is one of your basic responsibilities to manage the change that occurs within your business. The employees are not responsible for this task. It is their responsibility to do the best that they can to adjust to the changes that are occurring within the workplace and to continue doing the tasks that are assigned to them.
However, employees should be coached and encouraged to deal with the issues that they are facing. In order for change management to be successful, this too, should be successful. Employees are always able to adapt to those things in which they are able to work through themselves.
The changes will eventually start to occur with ease
It is unrealistic for any member of a change management team to be expecting employees to deal with the changes that are occurring within the business immediately. When a change occurs within the workplace, there should be some gradual adjustment time.
This will allow the employees to get used to the new change and find a way to implement it within their day to day activities. Change is more likely to be successful for those that are given an adequate amount of time to adjust.
In order for your business to remain successful in a competitive business market, change is absolutely necessary. Your business must undergo many different changes in order to meet and exceed current trends and expectations within the industry.
However, it is important to understand that changes cannot and should not be forced upon employees in such a way that it pushes their basic needs and expectations to the side. If you allow time for your employees to adjust to changes within the workplace, the changes will eventually start to occur with ease.
